We go classic with Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.

There are a lot of first person shooter games on the market and very few of them have managed to capture the hearts of gamers. Today we revisit a classic, that every hardcore gamer needs to have in their collection. Ladies and gentleman I give you Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.

Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare was released back in 2007, the gameplay takes place in 2011 when a rebel leader kills a president of a unknown middle eastern country and a ultra-nationalist movement starts a war in Russia. You take on the role of various characters from the U.S Force Reconnaissance Marine and the British SAS commandos and during the gameplay the two special forces missions run simultaneously.

I am sure by now that you have guessed that there are terrorists involved and not forgetting the weapons of mass destruction. Without giving the plot away, there's more to the game then terrorists and nuclear weapons, since the two special forces storyline runs simultaneously you will realize that there's more to the plot. As always you have more than just your gun to help you out, in some missions  you can call for air strikes and attack helicopters to help you out.

Keep in mind that this game was released in 2007, the graphics aren't that bad and most game reviews said that the guys from Infinity Ward the developers of this game didn't bring anything new to the first person shooter series. Its the little things that stand out for me. Your interaction with the surrounds should be as realistic as when a bullet hits you, and with this game you get that. If you take cover behind a car and the enemy is firing at you, the car will explode and kill you. Most first person do not have this element.

The gameplay and controls are easy to grasp as there is a training session at the beginning of the game. This game is the first installment in the trilogy and if your a hardcore gamer you need to add this one to your collection. There's a really cool surprise at the end of the game. This game retails for less than R200 and is available across all platforms.

Games that I can't wait to play this summer.

Spring is in the air, mornings are warmer, nights are cooler and girls are showing off some skin. Today I warm things up with these two games that I cant wait to play, this coming summer.

First up is Medal Of Honor Warfighter.

If in recent years your dream was to join the army, well I've got great news for you. Medal Of Honor Warfighter is said to put you and I in the boots of some highly trained soldiers from around the world. You will also be able to shoot your way through current terrorist hotspots like Pakistan, Yemen, Bosnia and Somali to name a few.

Remember earlier on I said you take up the role of highly trained soldiers from around the world, we'll in this game you'll be able to choose from 10 different elite military squads. So if your like me and your tired of being an American at war, you can represent your country's special forces in the mutiplayer mode and go head to head with the worlds best soldiers in the new mode that's specially made for online play.

I can't wait to play this game, especially since the developers of this game used real locations and based the gameplay on real soldiers and the tactics that these special forces use when at war. Medal Of Honor Warfighter will be released on the 23rd of October 2012.

Up next we have Assassins Creed III

I recently finished playing Assassins Creed Brotherhood and I totally fell in love with the game, the sequel to that game is Assassins Creed Revelations. In this version of the game you take on the role of half English and half Native-American Connor Kenway and main gameplay is set from 1753-1783 before, during and after the American Revolution.

Some of the things that am looking forward to in this game are the locations, the previous versions of the game are set in cities, while this version is based in snow covered forests and ships. One things I didn't really like about the previous versions is that you couldn't hold on to rocks and some edges. In this game you'll be able to climb trees, jump from one tree to another and climb mountains.

Assassins Creed III is set for release on the 31st of October on the PS3, Xbox 360 and will be released on the 23rd of November for all you PC gamers. Its also going to be released on Nintendo's new console the Wii U, we don't know when since their is no release date for the Wii U.

We take a U turn and check out Nintendo's Wii U

Welcome to this weeks edition of The Idiots Guide To Gaming, as a child I've always been in love with the Sony Playstation. I had a friend in primary school who had one and everyday after school I would find myself at his house playing Playstation. Over the years my obsession with the Playstation became stronger to the point that I eventually bought myself the latest version of it the PS3. Today I flirt and cheat on my PS3 with Nintendo's new console the Wii U

Nintendo have always been innovative with their approach to gaming, they made us game in 3D without the hassle of wearing 3D glasses with their handheld console the Nintendo 3DS. Lets not forget how much fun we have with the Nintendo Wii and its controller system that made the guys at Sony Playstation release the Playstation Move motion controllers, not forgetting our friends at Microsoft who gave us the Xbox 360 Kinect System. So clearly when Nintendo release something new other manufacturers take note.

I've seen a couple of video's of how the Wii U works, you basically use the handheld console as your primary controller, it also allows you to use the touch screen in the middle to interact with the game e.g: look inside a box while the main game play takes place on your TV. This controller is called the Wii U GamePad and is a cross between a handheld console and PC tablet. The Wii U also comes with traditional wireless controllers, you can connect two GamePad's controllers to your console at a time.

If you already own a Nintendo Wii and have a couple of games that you really love playing, the guys at Nintendo say that most Wii games are compatible with the Wii U. The guys at Core Group, they are the South African distributors of Nintendo products have not released an official date for the Wii U release in South Africa. One thing I do know is that its going to be released during the festive season just in time for Christmas. Looking at the price of the Nintendo Wii which retails for R1799, hopefully the Wii U will be reasonably priced.

Below is a trailer for a game that's going to be released exclusively for the Wii U, its called ZombiU and this trailer made me fall in love with the Wii U, keep in mind that I don't like Zombie games. This trailer also shows us how to use the Wii U GamePad during a game. I can't wait to buy myself  this console. We are only expecting the next generation Xbox 720 and Playstation 4 in the next couple of years, so let's see what the Wii U has in store for us. I'll do the official Wii U review when I get one.

We Join The Elite Brotherhood Of Assassin's with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Today i decided to step out my comfort zone of going to war and shooting everything that moves including my own teammates as a soldier while playing first person shooter games. We go back in time to a period where a weapon of mass destruction back then was a pistol, that you needed to load with gun powder before shooting. Ladies and gentlemen I present Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

I stumbled upon this game while looking for bargain games at a huge music retailer after work and thought to myself let me see what all the hype around Assassin's Creed is about. The current version that am playing is the third installment of the game and is the sequel to Assassin's Creed 2. It picks up directly where Assassin's Creed 2 left off, as you take on the roles of Desmond Miles and Ezio Auditore da Firenze. When the game begins it takes you on a walk through on how the controls work and what was concluded in the previous version of the game. So don't worry you won't be lost at the start.

Desmond Miles uses a device called Animus 2.0 to take on the role of Ezio as he tries to rebuild the city of Rome that's been ruined and is under the control of The Borgia. Your main mission is to find the Apple Of Eden which was taken from you, one morning after a night of passion with the madam. Yes Ezio gets laid in this game. You find yourself roaming the streets of Rome assassinating The Borgia's men, so that they won't have any influence on the people of Rome.

This game requires you to use your brains and not just your sword. A good trait that every assassin has is that they blend well with their surroundings and Ezio is more than capable of that. One really cool feature that I love, is jumping off rooftops and running on high walls while avoiding to be seen by the guards who patrol the streets of Rome. The games graphics are stunning and one thing I love is that while riding your horse in the city people move out the way and react with fear as your horse approaches them. One thing that most "old games" have in common is that while walking around you tend move through objects, characters and buildings, you won't find any of this in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

The Fight scenes get really hectic and you find yourself fending off more that 5 guards at a time, and this is where the controls fail you. The controls become confusing in a fight scene, at the top left hand corner of the screen there's an icon that show's you which buttons to press during the game, but during a fight scenes you don't enough time to be looking for buttons to press while the enemy is killing you. The controls also fail you at times while trying to interact with other characters and instead of interacting you end up calling your horse. This can be very frustrating.

If you like the thought of looting ordinary people to save prostitutes, hiring mercenaries to help you on some of your missions, horse back riding in the city Rome and using every piece of information to you find, to help you find The Apple Of Eden then this game is for you. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood requires brains, patience, great hand eye coordination and a lot of time on your hands. I was very lucky and managed to purchase the game for R100. The latest versions of the series Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Assassin's Creed III are available at all major retailers and range from R349 to R499. Its available on PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS for all you Apple users.

The Sour Taste Of Gaming On A Blackberry

Gone are the days of asking your parents to borrow you their phone, so that you can play the popular snake game on it. Now your parents embarrass you on facebook, if you have them as a facebook friend and constantly ask you for your bbm pin. Today we look at gaming on your Blackberry and why the Blackberry totally sucks at gaming.

BlackBerry smartphones were once upon a time only used by business men and the coolest phone to have as a young person was a Nokia 3310. Now BlackBerry smartphone's are considered entry level phones that are only good for social networking and instant messaging. Not forgetting the really cheap internet plan (BlackBerry Internet Service) that allows you to download a certain amount of data from the internet onto your phone. This means that you can download a new game everyday if you wanted too, but gaming on a BlackBerry is not fun.

One thing that most gamer's have in common is that we love being and feeling as if we are in control of the game we are playing. This requires a large area in the form of a joystick, dual-shock controller, etc. The BlackBerry has a qwerty keypad that's great for sending text messages but totally sucks for gaming. The buttons are small and the track pad occasionally freeze's while your busy on the phone. The next important item we require is a reasonably sized screen. The BlackBerry screen is not the biggest and even the top of the rage BlackBerry Torch 9810 and its stunning 3.2" inch display won't satisfy your gaming hunger.

One thing that all BlackBerry users complain about is the phones battery. Since BlackBerry's are always connected to the internet via the BlackBerry Internet Service the phones battery gets drained very quickly. One thing you don't want is the phone switching off in the middle of a game. BlackBerry's are great at social networking and instant messaging. If you have one? don't throw it way, because other smartphone's don't have an affordable internet plan and it will cost you an arm and a leg to surf the net. If you really want to game on your phone? save up and get yourself the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. This is the ultimate smartphone when it comes to gaming, the iphone 4s and Samsung Galaxy S III are also cool for gaming on the move. Save up and get your game on.

We game on a budget AGAIN!!!

So its mid-month, your a bit broke and can't wait for pay day. You have a bit of cash and you would like to buy a new game. Luckily for you there's a game out there, that's selling for R200 and is available at all major gaming stores. Ladies and gentleman we game on a budget AGAIN with Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is the sequel to Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, the storyline takes  place in 2014. Since its a sequel? you are situated not far from the original setting of the 1st installment. You battle your way through Mexico all the way back to the USA. Your main enemies are Mexican rebel groups, and Mexican loyalists and yes you guessed it? You are part of the U.S Army. This battle takes place in a space of 72 hours.

So you take the role of Scott Mitchel and lead a team of "Ghosts" through Mexico in search of unclear weapons that the Mexican rebels plan to use against the Americans. You exchange bullets with the rebels all over Mexico from small cities, to the mountains and all the way back to the U.S border. During the game you are given a gadget that helps you spot the enemy from a safe distance. The cool thing about this gadget (the UAV Cypher) it allows you to see the enemy from its point of view using the games CrossCam feature. You can also use the CrossCam feature on your squad members, tanks and helicopters.

If you are new to first person shooters you won't struggle with the controls as they easy to understand and at the beginning of the game you go on a training mission to familiarize yourself with the game play, before you take on the enemy. If you are a pro at these types of games you can easily skip the training. During the game you also get to take control of a tank, helicopter and a stryker just to name a few things that you can use in battle. Along the way you'll be assisted by Mexican forces and you'll find yourself being in control of 5 soldiers. There's a nasty twist to the game and it will leave you at the edge of your seat.

The graphics are stunning, and the change of scenery from a clear sunny day to a cloudy, windy evening is quite realistic. At times the game controls are confusing especially when you are under fire from enemy tanks and you are trying to order an air strike. Overall its a good game and if you have a bit more money then some of us get yourself the latest version of this game called Ghost Recon Future Soldier and it retails for R529. Both games are available on PS3 and Xbox 360.

We fly south with the Angry Birds

Welcome to this weeks edition of The Idiots Guide To Gaming. Today we are doing things a bit different, with the introduction of smart phones, and tablets like the ipad and Samsung's Galaxy tablet mobile gaming has seen huge growth. So this week I dedicate this post to the biggest mobile gaming app we've seen so far. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Angry Birds.

We were 1st introduced to Angry Birds back in 2009 and it was 1st released for those of you who could afford a Mac, iphone, ipod and the all new ipad at that time. Three years later and with over 12 million downloads on Apple's istore the game has been released on smart phones with touch screens and is also available on Android Market place for those of you with smart phones that use Android based operating systems.

The game play is pretty simple and yet tricky at the same time. You basically use a slingshot to shoot the birds at the pigs who are stationed in different structures. The structures get complicated with each level that you complete. Each bird has a special power and in some cases you find yourself with that one bird that you don't want to use. Oh! be careful when you are holding the slingshot, if you hold it for too long? you will end up hitting nothing as you over shoot your bird. If you hold the slingshot for a short time, you'll still end up hitting nothing because you won't make it to the pigs. In order for you to progress to the next level to must destroy all the pigs in that particular level. If you don't manage to hit all the pigs! The pigs will laugh at you! Lol.

So have you played Angry Birds and asked yourself what the hell does this bird do? Well? am also one of those. I keep asking myself what does these birds do and why are they so useless. Below is a list of the different characters you find in Angry Birds and their powers and how to use these powers.

If you own a smart phone with a touch screen, an ipod, ipad, iphone, or a Samsung Galaxy Tab or  Galaxy phone, get yourself Angry Birds. You'll have tons of fun for hours and won't even notice the amount of time you spent playing this game. There are different versions of this game, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space and Angry Birds Magic to name a few. Some of  the versions are free to download from Apple's istore and Android Market Place. You can also play the game online on http://www.angrybirds.com/

Classics That Made You Spend Your Last Pocket Money.

Once a upon a time we all found ourselves at the arcade, while still wearing our school uniform with a coin in hand waiting your turn to play your favorite fighter games.

These two games am about to talk about have stood the test of time, and have been remade for gamers who never got a hiding for going to the arcade in their school uniform.

1st up we check out the latest installment of Mortal Kombat.

I remember that I used to suck at the arcade version of Mortal Kombat, but thanks to the PS3 and Xbox 360 I'll be able to kick major ass at this game. Despite the fact that I sucked at it? That did not stop me from going to the arcade each and everyday after school to play and see my friends who were great at the game play it. This is the 9th installment of the game and offers stunning graphics, great game play and its one of those games you'll love to play with the boys and your girl.

So everyone has their favorite Mortal Kombat character? mine was Scorpion and his fatality move, where he knocks out your head and spinal cord. Some of your favorite characters like Raiden, Sub-Zero and Sonya to name a few are a part of the game. With new characters like Nightwolf, Smoke and Ermac that also come with their own Fatality moves and own victory poses. Goro does not feature in this version of the game but it features the legendary Kratos from God of War.

If you also love comic books? There's Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, where you can play as one of your favorite comic book hero's or one of the Mortal Kombat characters. Mortal Kombat retails for R350 and can be found at your nearest gaming store.  The game is also available on Xbox360

Next up we have Street Fighter vs Tekken

Everyone went crazy when Tekken came out on The Sony PlayStation back in the 90's, luckily I had a friend who had a PlayStation and we used to play everyday after school. Tekken was 1st released in 1994 and the series has grown stronger with every new release. Tekken was also available at the arcade for those kids who didn't have a PlayStation or friends with one. Street Fighter is a classic in the arcade circles and joins forces with Tekken on its latest release.

Honestly speaking there's not a lot to say about this game but that it rocks. All your favorite Street Fighter characters you've grown to love feature in this game. And yes you guessed it? All your the Tekken characters also feature. There are also special guest appearances from Pac-man and Mega-man.

If you haven't played Mortal Kombat, Tekken and Street Fighter in a while, well there are tons of new characters that you need to familiarize yourself with. So if a couple of names look unfamiliar don't panic, just take your time and check them out. Tekken vs Street Fighter retails for R479 and is available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita.

We answer the call? and go to War with Call Of Duty

Welcome to this weeks edition of The Idiots Guide To Gaming. So We Are Going To War today? unlike the Americans we are not about to invade some poor middle eastern country looking for weapons of mass destruction. We are talking a look at a first person shooter that has stood the test of time.

"First Person Shooters"are video games that give a first hand experience of holding a gun and using it in battle. If you've ever had a dream of becoming a soldier? these games will make your dream come true.

A lot of first person shooters started out as PC games before they jumped on the console and handheld band wagon. We are checking out the classic and one of the best selling gaming franchises Call Of Duty.

Call Of Duty has a large variety of titles for you too choose from. So if ever you wanted to be part of World War II, you can get your hands on Call Of Duty World At War. This game is set in a period when the Japanese took on the Americans and when Russia and Germany were at each others throats. If your not interested in past wars? Well? there is a game for you? the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare series.

The Modern Warfare series is based on wars of recent times and just like all the other Call Of Duty games you are on a mission to infiltrate and kill your enemy. You are given different objectives at the start of each and every mission and if you've ever wanted to go on really cool but dangerous missions Call Of Duty Modern Warfare is just for you.

Don't think that you are invincible because you are holding onto your dual-shock controller in the comfort of your own home and that you won't die while playing. When you are caught in the line of fire the screen will start turning red and your dual-shock controller won't stop vibrating. The latest version of this series is Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and retails for R549 and is available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

If you ever wanted to be that soldier that fights the wars that no other soldier will? then Call Of Duty Black Ops is just for you. With a mission that requires you to take the helm of a helicopter, who says you need a pilots license to control one of these babies.

There is huge selection of weapons for you too choose from on each mission, but you can only use two guns at a time. You can also use your enemies weapons, so if you think their guns are cooler than yours? you can dispose of them and take their guns. One really cool feature is that you can use a knife when you are on the ground, when your enemy has you pinned down. You can basically stab that enemy in the neck and save your life. Call Of Duty Black Ops retails for R400 and R300 at some stores. Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 drops on the 13th of November 2012.

The makers of Call Of Duty introduced The Zombies mission on World At War and it has featured in every title ever since. Its basically a mission where you kill as many zombies as you can, while gaining points and trading some of your points for bigger and better guns. The intensity of the zombies attacks get stronger the longer you survive and destroy them. Call Of Duty also features a multi-player mode where you can play in split-screen mode with up to 4 of your friends and 16 when connected to the internet.

The Call Of Duty series is really cool and most of the titles are available at good gaming outlets. They retail from as little as R149 to R549. So you can start your Call Of Duty collection and become the ultimate soldier.

We Take A Grand Tour With Grand Turismo 5

Welcome to this weeks edition of The Idiots Guide To Gaming. Today we take a look at the classic driving simulator Grand Turismo 5

This driving simulator goes back to 1997 when it first came out on the Sony PlayStation, 13 years later Sony give us one of the best driving simulators to date. The game came out in 2010 and has couple of playing modes. There's the arcade mode where you can pick at which level you want to play, which track and in which city you want to race in. Don't worry I haven't forgotten the most important part. With a selection of over 75 cars, you are spoiled for choice. This mode also allows you to race in split screen mode (two people racing using dualshock controllers) with a friend.

Then there's the GT Mode. This mode has two sides to it (A-spec) where you race against the game. There's the (B-spec) mode where you create your own driver and give it instructions to race. You start off with no experience and take part in the beginner series. You also start off with a bit of cash to buy your first car. With every race you finish you gain experience and unlock cars, races and special events.

In career mode (GT mode) its said that the game has over 1000 cars, over 26 different locations and 71 tracks to choose from. Personally I've never counted the amount of cars the game has to offer, but one thing I do know is that whether your going to buy a car at the dealership or used car dealership, you have a huge variety to choose from. You can also race at night and in wet conditions.

As a driver you work your way up from the beginner series to the extreme series. The extreme series is the highest level of racing that the game has to offer. You also take part in races that require special types of cars. Like the Japanese 90's challenge, a race event for Japanese cars from the 1900's or you can take part in the Super Car Festival, yes you guessed it? only super cars are allowed in this event. The more experience you gain the more challenges to take part in and the more cars and credit you earn for yourself.

In The B-Spec mode you basically guide the driver that you have created with a serious of commands during a race so that they can win it. Just like in the A-spec mode your driver gains experience and credits with each race that win or finish in.oh! They also use your cars that you have collected in your garage. You can also race online with 16 other gamer's from around the world.

Some of the special features that this game has to offer is that you can obtain a drivers license, I know it sounds silly but yes its true. This is one of the features that the makers of this game came up with. One of the best features of this game is that the cars handle realistically and that if you bump another car or hit the sidewalks you damage you car and the damage can only be repaired at the car and maintenance center in the games menu.

The game also features special events where you can go, Go karting. Take a drive in a NASCAR car with legendary NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon as your guide. If you a huge Top Gear Fan you can also race around the Top Gear Test track.  You can also learn how to drive a Rally Car in the special events.

Some of the draw backs of this game is that the loading times are a bit long and that you can't drive some cars in cock pit view. This is basically the view that makes you feel as if your driving the car and you are sitting behind the steering wheel. The music is bad, but if you have music stored on your PS3 you can listen to it when your gaming.

Its a great game for beginners and hardcore gamer's. The graphics are stunning and the race tracks and cities have beautiful scenery. With rumors of Grand Turismo 6 coming? Go out and get this game and prepare yourself for GT6. It retails for R299 and only available on PS3.

Gaming On A Budget

So last week I covered three games that I think will keep you indoors this winter. They are great games but are rather expensive because they are new releases.

So today we game on a budget! Yes you can game on a budget. A lot of new gamers feel pressured on getting the latest games and accessories, forgetting that they saved up for months in order to purchase their console.

Today I am going to take a look at a couple of consoles, games and a handheld console that's more than reasonably priced.

First up I check out the Xbox 360 4gig console
On my first blog post I reviewed this console saying that its the best for gaming on a budget because of its affordable games compared to PS3 games. Not only are the games affordable but the console itself is super affordable. This console retails for R1999  and comes with one wireless controller. Microsoft the makers of the Xbox 360 also give you a one month free membership to Xbox Live, which is Xbox 360's online gaming platform. You can also watch some of your favorite TV shows and High Definition movies on Xbox Live. Visit your nearest Game outlet before stocks run out for this wonderful offer.

Still on Game and reasonably priced consoles they are offering you a refurbished Sony PlayStation 3  (PS3) 320gig console for R2999. A bit more pricey than the Xbox 360 but you get a bigger hard drive with the PS3 and two games to get you started. These games are Tekken Hybrid and Motorstorm Apocalypse. Both games retail over R300 and you get them as part of the offer. The PS3 comes with a 12 month guarantee.

So while looking for bargains that I can feature in this post I came across the most affordable piece of gaming hardware that's out right now. If you thought Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) is reasonably priced at R1199. Nintendo have slashed the price of their handheld console the Nintendo 3DS from R1999 to R999.

I have to say I am more than impressed with Game's prices when it comes to gaming and while doing research for this post I found that they had the best prices when it comes to gaming.

Back to the 3DS the first handheld console that brings 3D gaming to you and me. And don't worry you don't have to spend extra money on getting special 3D glasses. You don't need those glasses with this baby.  On the side the 3DS has a special slider that allows you to set the intensity of the 3D to your liking, so if you want to see Super Mario's mushrooms up close and personal you can set it to its highest level of intensity. You can also turn the 3D completely off and game in 2D.

If you enjoyed classic Nintendo games like Super Mario and The Legend Of Zelda on Gameboy, they all feature on the 3DS. 3DS games retail from R170 to R420. This offer is exclusive to Game. Other retailers still sell the 3DS for R1999.

Here are a couple of reasonably priced games to can get. These games retail for under R300

First up to check out Need For Speed Run on Nintendo Wii this baby retails for R215

If you are into rap and hip hop this game is just for you. Its Def Jams Rapstar and you can rap your heart out on this one. It comes with a free mic. Its available on Xbox 360 and PS3. It retails for R250

God Of War is a classic in the gaming world. The third installment is available for R252 and with God Of War 4 on the way, you better grab this baby so you not lost when we are all swallowed by the God Of War 4 hype. Games that will keep you warm this winter!

So its winter and your girlfriend has the hot water bottle out and the only time she ever needs you is to service her pipes. Most of the time she would rather have you two cuddle and watch movies in bed. That's all good, but you also want to give those fingers an exercise and sweat those winter chills away.

The Idiots Guide To Gaming present our winter special. These three games that I am about to profile "not review" are sure to keep you indoors and warm this winter. I hope they don't cause any trouble for you and your lady.

First up we have Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

If your asking yourself who the hell is Tom Clancy? Well? His a well known American author who is best known for his espionage military science and techno thriller storylines. Ubisoft use his name for promotional purposes, and have titles like Rainbow 6 and Splinter Cell tagged with his name. Cool! Back to the game and enough with the history lesson

Ubisoft the developers of this game claim that you'll become the ultimate soldier as you embark on a journey across the globe and you "The Ghosts" are the only thing that stands in the way of WWIII from happening. So if your childhood dream is to become a soldier but you are too chicken to pursue this dream. This game is just for you. Its available on PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. It retails for R517 save up for this one. It looks like its going to be a classic. My review for it will follow in the weeks to come.

Up next is Max Payne 3.

The Max Payne trilogy dates back to July 2001 when the game first came out. 11 years later Max is back and looks like trouble follows him everywhere he goes. He is now in Sao Paulo, Brazil and has taken up the job of protecting a wealthy family. Looks like you "Max" are going to be in one hell of a ride, in a city you don't know.

You "Max" have a bad history with woman, drugs and alcohol. So if you relate to Max go out and get Max Payne 3 it. This game retails for R603 and is available on PS3 and Xbox 360. Am sure your lady is going to want to play this one with you. Woman love bad boys.

Finally i have something for you PC gamers: Diablo 3

Diablo means Devil in Spanish and yes you guessed it you are up against the devil and his monsters on this one. The first two games i featured are known as FPS games (First Person Shooters) this game is known as a RPG (Role Playing Game) and your role is to fight in a fast paced environment. PC games are well known to be strategy games that require you to use your brain and not shoot your way out of every situation.

As you fight your way through a dark fantasy world, you will grow your ability, gain experience and acquire items that will give you incredible power. Diablo retails for R457 and if you've a couple of hours to spare at the office or when the boss is not watching? Go on and kick the devils ass. And when the game starts getting too scary for you? Call your lady to hold your hand and cuddle with you? Or if you like? You can also call your boss.
